What are your hours?

Hours are by appointment only and definitely not on powder days.

 

Where are you located?

Currently, I do not have a storefront.  Everything is made to order and can be either delivered or picked up by appointment at Mammoth Rock N Bowl, 3029 Chateau Rd.

Do you offer wedding cake tastings?

Yes!  Once your date & venue are contracted, I offer a tasting for two people with up to three cake flavors for $50.  Want more? It's $10 for each additional flavor and/or person.  Please note that during holidays and the height of wedding season weekend tastings may not be possible.

When should I order my cake?

Weddings

I operate on a first-come, first-served basis & suggest reserving your wedding date at least 6-12 months in advance.  My schedule fills up quickly, especially for the months of May-October.  I will do my best to accommodate last-minute orders if my schedule allows.  To reserve your wedding date, a 50% non-refundable retainer is required and will be applied towards your final balance.

I operate on a first-come, first-served basis & suggest placing your order at least 3-4 weeks in advance.  I will do my best to accommodate last-minute orders if my schedule allows. 
 

I'd like to have a smaller cake plus a dessert bar, how much should I order?

When people are doing a dessert bar in addition to a cake for cutting or display, I usually recommend 2-3 pieces of dessert per guest since you'll have some people that will have 1 thing and some people that will have 4.  As a starting point, I suggest guest count times 2.5, or for 100 people, 250 pieces of dessert.  From there I recommend 3-4 options.  You're certainly welcome to choose more, I just recommend increasing the quantity since the more choices you give people, the more they usually want to try!

Do you provide cake stands and display pieces?

Yes!  For weddings, the rental of cake pedestals, wood rounds, wood crates, platters, and other display items is included with delivery.  However, it is your responsibility to return all rental items to Mountain Cakery within 48 hours of your event.  It is important that all items are returned by the due date, as we have to get them ready for the next event.

Do you deliver?

Weddings

Yes, Mountain Cakery will deliver and set up for your wedding!  Delivery within the town limits of Mammoth Lakes starts at $150.  All deliveries requiring chairlifts, gondolas, snowcats, snowmobiles, skis, boats, special access roads, etc., and outside of Mammoth Lakes will be quoted accordingly.  All cakes will be delivered and set up prior to the start of the reception unless otherwise notified.  The delivery and set-up fee includes the rental of display pieces.  

 

What is your payment policy and what type of payments do you accept?

I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.  Checks can be made out to Mountain Cakery and mailed to PO Box 1336 Mammoth Lakes, 93546. 

 

Weddings

A non-refundable retainer in the amount of 50% of your estimated total is required to save your date and will be applied to your final balance.  Your final payment will be due 14 days prior to your wedding. 

 

Parties & Special Events

Full payment is due upon booking.
